As early as June 6th, the last pair of steel rails on the main line of Line 15 from Zizhu High tech Zone Station to Guilin Road Station had been welded. The "perfect meeting" of two railway construction units at Guilin Road Station marks the completion of the full track connection of Shanghai Metro Line 15, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of various mechanical and electrical installation specialties and vehicle debugging.

The total length of Shanghai Metro Line 15 is 42.3 kilometers, with 30 stations. It is a tangential line running north-south in the western part of Shanghai, from Zizhuyuan in Minhang to Gucun Park in Baoshan. After completion, it will realize transfers with 8 lines including 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 11, 12, and 13. Its completion will improve and strengthen the public transportation facilities at the West and South Railway Stations, providing strong support to meet the rapid development needs of important areas such as Zizhu High tech Zone, Nanda Region, and Changfeng Region.

It is worth mentioning that during the construction process of the Shanghai Metro Line 15 track project, not only were technologies introduced from high-speed rail such as prefabricated track slab trackbeds and prefabricated floating slab trackbeds used, but also new advanced track construction equipment such as self deformable wheel concrete tankers and self deformable wheel construction gantry cranes independently developed and produced by Anhui Xingyu Rail Equipment Co., Ltd. were used, which are widely applicable to various complex working conditions in subway tunnels. Compared with traditional track type equipment, the efficiency has been improved by nearly 60%.
At present, Shanghai Metro Line 15 is organizing the construction of subsequent projects such as track fine-tuning, evacuation platforms, and overhead contact systems to ensure the completion of key nodes as planned.
